Xu Ho AuthorHi Makariel, Thanks for your kind words! I made a custom three-view camo reference to help with the painting. The right side of the fuselage is based on historical photos, but since there weren't clear views of the other angles, I had to follow the camo shapes and proportions of the colors based on the photo, and fill in the rest myself. I scaled the image to match the model's size and printed it out to guide my painting.

Xu Ho AuthorThanks everyone for your like & the compliments! This kit was an early release, so the shape isn't entirely accurate, and the surface details are sparse with raised panel lines. At first, I had no idea how to approach it. Eventually, I decided to try converting the raised lines into recessed ones. To my surprise, the rescribing process went quite smoothly. Since I had some extra time, I also added rivet details. To better showcase the paint scheme, I skipped panel washes and weathering this time. In the end, I wouldn't recommend buying this kit.

Xu Ho AuthorPS: Robin, the Zvezda T-34/85 is a good kit. However, the GuP T-34/85 is a mix of the 174 mod (body) and the 183 mod (turret), with some small detail variations. I'm not too concerned about making a 100% accurate GuP T-34/85 copy, so I'm just using the RFM kit for a simple build.
