The set is from 1958, it's older than me!
But it was quite good for that time.
You can make a good model out of this, the plane itself is quite simple.
You shouldn't have been in a hurry to glue the halves of the wing, it was necessary to reduce the thickness of the rear edges.

....that will be added to the list of corrections that will not be made on this decal princess...its all about the stickers....there will be rigging added and flash removed...thats about it...

Definitely not something you see every day. Also fun to see what people can do with Lindberg kits.

....knowing nothing about this Gee Bee version...speculation that this was a display airplane only...that never saw the sky....and was repainted after the Gee Bee era was over...

There is such a useful tool for cutting circles.

you can buy tamiya masking tape (or other brands) in A4 size and there cut in any way you want

...the decals needed some real attention.... to get a good Coca Cola on the side...new decals were printed...they have to dry for 72 hours and then be overcoated....then smaller decals on the side can be tried...

Okay, that was a subliminal SNAFU on my part... I grew up a fan of Pepsi. My apologies...

.....ah yes...Coke vs Pepsi....(setting aside the question of whether this thing ever existed....probably not...or the freaking decals would fit!!)....

....at the height of what was a minor hubbub about Coke changing its formula to "New" Coke....some self styled Coke fanatic was doing a live TV taste test to prove the old Coke was better than the "New" Coke....and then...blindfolded...he chose Pepsi!

...thanks for the circle cutter prompt....yup...there was one here...just not used much or at all...and then put into service...it worked! ...thanks again...wide masking tape was a must, though...

Nice job on this older kit. Yellow and red are especially difficult colors to get right and you nailed it, good work !

Thank you all!....those wires lasted about as long as the photo shoot before they were jumping out of place....they are from the kit and had a real bend....easy replace.....

...experience shows three coats of anything you really want to be 100% with acrylics....this kit was a blast to paint....the edges on the fuselage and the wheels are hand painted.... the middle was airbrushed...
