Nick DragoneCurious as to what others use as a gloss, satin and dull coat. The best dull coat I have found and use is Testors Dullcoat from the bottle airbrushed. As far as gloss I use Quik Shine floor polish airbrushed. I haven't found a good choice for satin however. I'm not sure if a 50 50 mix of Testors Dullcoat and Quik Shine are compatible? Thoughts ?

Ben MI like the Vallejo flat coat. It's duller than dullcote and far less toxic and expensive.
For gloss I use Tamiya x-22 and I like the result but it's $$$

Mark SherwoodSame as Mr Marlin Mr Color UV cut gloss and flat but also Tamiya semi clear lacquer. I was using VMS varnishes with a big needle and excessive pressure, but it still clogged, sputtered etc.

Nick Dragone AuthorThanks Paul ! I usually put in two hours a day at the bench, give or take. This build was started in January and finished in March with no other projects going at the same time. I'm retired now after a 35 year career with IBM so I have the time but find I get fatigued at the two hour mark. This was the first sailing ship I completed since the early 1970's. I plan on building more of them !

Nick DragoneCan anyone share a fast, and easy way to apply a bare metal finish on airplanes ? Over the years I think I have tried everything with decent results but nothing like I see on posts or in magazines. I really would like to stick with acrylics since they are less toxic, especially with aluminum colors etc..Would appreciate any advice. Thanks !

AugieFrom what I remember, a few other members tried rub and buff and the results were different, I've not tried it myself.

ICM 1:32Nick DragoneCan anyone guide me in regards to sorting posted Albums ? I just posted a new album and I would like it at the top, instead it's posted near the bottom. There must be an easy sort option but I can't seem to find it. Thanks

Nick DragoneCan anyone tell me how to rotate pictures in an album once they have been uploaded? When I take the pictures from my phone they sometimes flip from the original orientation after I post them. Thank you

gorbyIf you go to 'Manage' and the 'Advanced options' you can change the orientation of your photos.
