Thanks again! I hope to finish my stash before I'm finished! 😉👍

Oh yeah. The left intake did not want to fit correctly. I had to use some super glue to make it stay aligned with the fuselage. It wanted to pop out from the side. The clips on the wing leading edge kinda tell that story. Most of it seems to have come back into place. The Nose wheel well didn't really want to align in the back so I had to use CA glue and pliers to hold it into place. The right side of the fuselage at the rudder did not want to fit at all. But most of all this has been overcome. The alignment around the right side of the rudder may not be perfect but it seems close enough to me. The front canopy fit is still suspect which is really typical of most Mirage kits.

The Kfir seems to show the subtle engineering change from the Mirage III aircraft into what would eventually become the Mirage 2000. I'm remembering what made me buy this kit in the first place (2011). Once the wings are fit to the fuselage, that will be the top of the hill for this build!

There were no seatbelts for this kit so I have made them out of some masking tape. Paint an weather will make them look a little more realistic...

Time to mask it up, prime and prep. The landing gear need paint and then installed. They need installed due to the flaps being on...

The mount for the exhaust nozzle turned out far more sturdy than I expected!!!

Masked and primed. Need to clean up a couple of lines, but it's pretty close!

Finally got the base Camo on. This was pretty difficult as I had to use very thin Model Master FS30219. But, I am now down to final blend and touch-up!!! So awesome to be at this point with this kit!!!

I am soon to make a special case for the Bf 109s. It will be a wall hanger in the garage and have room for 16. I'm going to have it fabricated from Acrylic at a plastics shop.

This one will go into a case I made a year ago. It too will get a couple of acrylic shelves for the smaller (1:48) scale kits.

Great work love your camo got the amk kit want to do it in the superiority grey scheme 1982 well done 👏

I gave away an AMK kit to a new club member. The kit seems more straight forward than the Kinetic kit. I like the AMK, but alas, I will never know...

Not perfect, but I was able to resurrect some decal fragments that happened on the right wing...

Looking real nice. Can you share the paint colors and brand ? I like Tamiya paint and mix my own colors. I think you mentioned Model Master, which I still have but the stock is getting very low and old. Thanks.

Dark Tan, Model Master FS30219, Model Master Sky Type-S (last time...), and AK Real Colors FS33531. I might have also used some Model Master FS33531 and/or Mr. Color Aqueous FS33531... This kit represents my transition form Model Master Enamels to AK Real Colors (Lacquer). Quite the ordeal really...
1 29 November, 00:42
I'm waiting for some AK Real Colors RLM04 to touch up the fin flash decals...

It's just SOB. I guess there are mods but the only adds are the pitot tube and the tailpipe. Lots of years and now it's done!!!

The 1980's were a time when the aircraft industry was switching over to white epoxy paint (was silver/grey) for all landing gear and landing gear bays. This was to make for easier inspections and more readily identifying potential cracks, leaks and other defects. Naturally, the landing gear didn't always get converted to the white epoxy paint right away. It always depended on when the aircraft went in for "Depot Level Maintenance"...

I'm in the pleasant color schemes phase of my habit... My mom always complained that I hadn't used more color in my models. She passed in 2000...

😂 funny.... we need camouflage consultants you know?
That's good....l tend to build around a bit of a colour variety in my collection, that's why l built the Romanian model. Need a blue one now so the Tamiya F4U is starting now.
