I couldn't resist the bargain. I have plans for this truck, because of the extended chassis. I gotta admit, for an amt truck kit, this one is very enjoyable.

Who can resist bargains? I know I have a problem.

My name is Martin, and I'm a plastic addict.

It is not a problem. It is a personal trait 😉

Hi Martin, my name is Sander and I share your addiction. Isn't it the best?

I'm curious to see how different this kit is from the Hideout Truck, since I have several parts in that kit that seem to belong to this one.

Sander, it's the same kit, just different decals. The only difference is, it's moulded in white. When the new Hideout truck came out, people complained about the black plastic being brittle and lots of warped frames. Personally, I didn't experience that?
My Tyrone Malone urge started, when I picked up the SuperBoss from Hobby Lobby, for 20 bucks. Then I simply had to get them all. However, I watched a buddy mask up the SuperBoss and believe me, it was a nightmare ! I always thought it was all decals, but I've never been so wrong.
However, I'm gonna have to do it sometime, and the Bandag Bandit.

I've got the old kit, so all moulded in white, like the papa truck, and didn't have too much trouble with warpage luckily. The biggest issue with the black plastics on my Bandag Bandit was that they used very hard to remove releasing agents, so I had fisheyes when I painted it. I'll be watching for your builds when you get around to them👍🏻

My plan for this one, is a wrecker. I'm not sure if it's going to be a dual axle or triaxle though? I've got a dual axle wrecker bed, that I can try on it. If I don't like how it sits, then it's going to be a triaxle.

Nice!

Bozzer, if you want something different but still to use the dual axle bed maybe try a 8x4 configuration for the wrecker? Like the one on this page: edmontontowingcompany.com/locked-out.html

On the other hand, I ordered €150+ in resin yesterday…

Goldman, that's kinda what I had in mind.
Martin, is that for a printer, for casting, or pre-casted parts?

Oh Martin, you tease! There's some nice accessories there! I can see my paycheck plummeting south, very shortly! 🙂

Got some nice stuff from NTD couple of months ago. It is a one man show that also has a day job (truck driver of course) so it may take a while to get the order but well worth the wait.
