Thank you gorby!
The street was built on the base of the Trumpeter display case so that the car is protected from dust on it's final place.

Great little diorama. The car is immaculate and the street looks very realistic!

Thank you very much mates!
Thomas, I'll now get back to the wings 🙂

Building a vignette out of a display case is a nice touch, and you've done it very well. Good work!

This looks really lovely. Got the Charleston one in my stash. Makes me want to build it.

Thanks!
Michael, I would love to see your build as I am sure it will be a nice diorama at the end! The kit offers a good basis - pay attention in a few places and always fit dry.

Danke Rocky. Ich denke, die Base hattest Du noch gesehen, nur die Ente nicht.
Martin, I have to admit that I was much slower than you with your blue one - I was impressed by your speed whilst working on this model!

But I had the advantage of having built the same kit already, in pink. Less mistakes to repeat 😉

As we have previously discussed, this is such a beautiful build. I will definitely have to grab one of these. Your street base is also the perfect touch to finish off this gift. I love it. Outstanding work, as always my friend.

Thank you mates!
Kyle, I don't know if it's available for you, but I recommend the Revell kit. Tamiya also has a kit in the same scale, but it's much older so the Revell kit has better detail.

Indeed. This kit looks extremely nice!! No doubt an opportunity will present itself sometime Frank! I've seen the Revell kit here once or twice. Again, beautiful work.

Beautiful gift! I was surprised by the very nice display case you found. And THEN I read the comments. Very cool how you made the street with pavement there.

Thank you!
@yngvenett You can find a build log album of the street if you click on the project.

Thank you very much! It was a nice project to try to replicate a real but no more existing car from the great Revell kit. It provides may details and optional parts.

Glad to see this pop back up. Based on your recommendation I did end up picking up one of the Revell kits when it popped up at my local hobby shop. It's a different body style but I still expect it will be excellent.

I would have given the model a subtle weathering to make it look more like a car that's used every day.
And for an experienced WWI modeler, it shouldn't be a problem to breathe some life into the paint on the fabric roof?
But that's probably a matter of personal taste—otherwise, there's nothing to complain about. 👍

Thank you mates for your comments!
@Kyle, Revell has resleased it here in 4 editions, may be Revell America too? Please start a build log!
@BAT21 You are right. I made a light wash especially in recesses around the door etc but that was not enough to show up in the pictures. Good idea with the roof too. But now it is too late as it was a present last year..

You really capured the feel of a 2cv. Love the sewer details in the base.
Habe nur zu sagen ein sehr schone Ente.

Mine is also a Revell of Germany boxing. The "cocorico". We occasionally get the Revell of Germany stuff over here. Seems to be random. I should think about building it soon.

This one has a pretty nice shine! I like the satin look. Goos built and presentation.

Thank you very much! Coming from model car experts that means a lot to me 🙂
