Lochsa River 作者....taking a step back from the PE process to make sure the paint goes as well as possible...so a special PE prep solution is on the way....VMS Metal Prep 4K....looking forward to trying it...meanwhile...any other bits than PE that can be done will be undertaken....

My wife complained that my mechanics are unable to keep the aeroplane reasonably clean. She does not like weathering.
@Robert For sure this was an elegant plane. In my opinion, it had more aesthetic lines than some later models.
I will add some words to the final album. In short:
That was a fun project for my taste: a good base and still enough room for some scratched details to give the model my own personal touch 🙂

SpanjaardI love Sweet tiny airplanes with their amazing details and perfect fit, but i fully agree with you, the seam line between the pieces of carrier deck, is a hell to make disappear. I certainly wish they would have done it differently.....

Mike Szwarc 作者I visited the Sweet website recently, and got the English translation which was quite poor and difficult for me to fully understand. I gathered that someone at the top of the company (possibly the founder) had died in Oct. Whoever wrote the posting said that the business would continue to serve it's customers as always with their current product line, but that he would be away for an indefinite period of time. I could be wrong, but I took that to mean there would be no new kit designs for the near future. I've also noticed that prices for Sweet kits on eBay are going up, and availability is going down. Anyone know any more about this?

GuidoIt's an interesting debate and there is indeed no general concensus, as the Wikipedia page describes:

Almost all however, except the PLA, considers it a Gen3.
Mirage III, the Century Series and MiG airplanes of the '50s and '60s were 2nd Gen.
The bottom of the page also list the different generation pages.
So, while the F1 was initially seen as a "stop-gap" between the MIII and M2000, it deserved its own place in history. Calling it a Gen2 isn't doing any justice to a multi-role fighter that soldiered on way into the 2000s. The F-104 had already retired long before. 😉
The M2000 is a true 4th gen fighter like F-16 etc.
I've been too long into Mirages... 😄

Andrés Fernández Lucena 作者Thank you all! Hope to complete this soon... assembly is going to get interesting when time to install the upper wing comes, as the cabane struts are absent from the model. One more thing to scratch. Nevertheless I am enjoying this one so far!
