First pictures of this project: highly interesting original, quite good details in some areas – but overall a top-class orgy of adjustments and filling! 🙂 I had to completely rebuild the cockpit interior – it would never have worked as described in the instructions – but I only realised this when everything was already finished. However, I don't want to complain in any way, but would like to thank AMP for enabling me to realise such an exotic spacecraft!

How can I not follow something this weird?
No doubt Robert will be along soon. 😄

Feel all very welcome to this!
I'm glad you're interested in the project! With the singer 'Silbervogel' – two models are planned here – and the space shuttle, there are other projects on the launch pad related to orbital flight that I will be starting this year. But now it's time for Dyna Soar – it's great that AMP is making this possible!

Can't wait to see the finish. I'm sure you'll tame this one 🙂

Of course I am here! Thanks for announcing me, Gorby! 😄... and it is not weird, just a bit unusual...

I'm glad to finally see this in styrene rather than resin. I've wanted to get a model of the x-20 for a while but I try not to work with resins if I can help it. Maybe some day I can pick one of these up. Unfortunately it's pretty pricey for what it is. I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with it. I'm sure it will be smashing. I also have a few space themed works planned for next year. Perhaps you can start a space themed group build if you have more coming up.

Nathan, Robert, Skyhiker: thank you for your comments and interest! Except for the cockpit, which I didn't understand how to build from the instructions, I am very happy with the kit. Once again, AMP seems to be a guarantee for projects that may require a bit of extra work but are highly interesting! A space glider/orbital group? Actually, that's a good idea...!

Slowly – very slowly – the whole thing is coming to an end: slowly, because I'm not at all happy with the way the decals look! The panel lines underneath stand out in white, so I'll have to do something about that, and I already know what... 🙂

I don't know what the problem with the decals is, but I like the look.
Great so far! 👍

Pitty that the nice weld lines from pics 1-4 are gone. 😉

Thank you all for your positive comments! Cuajete, I noticed in some photos that the decal film on the fuselage stretched across the gap between the panel lines, creating a white line on an otherwise dark/black background. I have now cut the decals with a scalpel and re-tinted the panel lines with dark paint – now it looks better.

Never realised as an orbital glider successor to the X-15, but at least actually built here as a model – one could sound a little grandiose 🙂
Well, it's finished, and yesterday I was able to take a few pictures. Unlike the last ones I showed, I made sure to show the finish a little more 'lively' and scorched by the heat of re-entry.

The construction was not entirely straightforward and required a bit of commitment and improvisation, but now that it stands before me, I am glad I took the gamble.
Thank you for your interest and all your positive feedback!
