Many thanks @Never a Pro! RLM76 has been applied today. Curious if I didn't leave too much contrast, but I will see that later on …

Thanks Zsolt! I hope I can motivate myself for the mottling soon ... it´s a challange and I´m moving it a bit in front of me since a week or so .... hahahaaaa

A bit of a progress on this one ... after moving the mottling from week to week and heading into a nice heatwave that made it impossible to do mottling, finally lower temperatures allowed my to do it. Not an easy task, especially the Vallejo RLM81 did not behave well, but it´s OK I would say
 9 July, 14:45
Jakub Fiala
I would say, it's totally OK 👍
1  10 July, 14:19
Thomas Bischoff
nice work 👍 - you build the one which landed in Switzerland?
1  10 July, 14:59
Thomas Haberl - (TH SCALE MODELS) Author
Many thanks guys! Appreciate it a lot 😊 @Thomas: yes, it should be Mutke's Weiße 3 that emergeny landed in Switzerland

A small update on the Me 262, I decided to go for historical accuracy and tried to replicate the poorly painted fuselage - @Thomas many thanks again for sharing the references. I'm not 100% satisfied but with weathering it will be OK. Let's see. On the latest pictures everything is already sealed in with a coat of gloss varnish

I'm a fan of your paint job! Looks realistic to me and adds spice to an otherwise plain light blue bottom 👍
2  2 November, 17:28
Thomas Haberl - (TH SCALE MODELS) Author
Many thanks @Thomas. Indeed it looks much more interesting now. I guess this will be my first model displayed on a small mirror 😂
 4 November, 06:35
Jakub Fiala
Nice effect on the fuselage, Thomas! 👍
2  7 November, 16:33
Thomas Haberl - (TH SCALE MODELS) Author
Many thanks @Jakub! It was a bit of a challenge to realize NMF area on a fully painted model, but I couldn't find any overspray! Meanwhile the old and a bit thick Tamiya decals were treated with a lot of love, varnish and sanding sponge to look like they should look. Horrible thick ... but it looks ok to me

Beautifull. The slats should be deployed has every Messerschmitt on the ground but it´s a comon mistake. Love it. Congratulations

Youtube Video a video that every model building a Me 262 should watch. Particularly in this case at 14m35s where it shows the slats position when the airplane is on the ground. This is valid for all Me including the 109.

Thomas Haberl - (TH SCALE MODELS) Author
Many thanks guys! Appreciate your nice comments! @Jorge: thanks a lot for pointing that out! The kit didn't offer open slat position so I didn't think of this and actually and honestly speaking didn't know that. I knew about that on the Bf109. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge here!
