Decals are on and sealed with some matt varnish. Some dust specks here and there, but once framed that should not be too...

The idea for the presentation is very interesting. Following.

Cool idea indeed.

Thanks for the interest!

I did two changes in the sprues though: the pilot and the seat, by cutting them loose, turning them and glueing them back in place.

I would have found it sad that the pilot would have to look at the inside of the frame for the rest of his days... :^D

The instrument panel is also the other way around, But having three attachement points was a bit too tricky to "correct" without it being noticeable later on.
I may, however, just for the visual interest, attach the instruments anyhow - on the back side, so to speak.

The best of this project: no fit issues at all 👍

Yes indeed, bughunter... 😄 😄

But as I'm airbrushing the larger parts, it requires quite some masking, re-masking and then some masking again... 😄

Camouflage is on. I used for the first time AK AK2012 RAF Dark Earth and AK2011 RAF Dark Green from their Air Series as am not really impressed. Diluted, not diluted, all the same, sprayed uneven and the airbrush had the tendency to clog.

Probably good for brush painting, but through my airbrush it's unlikely that'll ever go again.

Ah! I did cut the canopy in two, so each fuselage has its halfs. Will be nicer later when I start thinking how to frame it. 😀

Part sacrilege, part awesomeness. I like it.

Thanks everyone.
Decals are in, so time to start thinking about how I'll do the frame.

That's a good idea. When you are running out of storage for finished models: use the walls!

Indeed! 😄

I'm still pondering over the frame and its bakcground.
Might take a while before I get there and actually hang it up.

@Rudy The huge kit (nearly 1m wing span) of the B-17 in 1:32 from HK Models includes a wall mount, which clips into the open bomb bay. So you don't need a cabinet for it 🙂 The larger the model, the more sense it makes to take one or two pictures off the wall and replace them with a model.
