Welcome along, hopefully this one won't take too long to do.

Another interesting biplane and build log!
I used recently a generic 1:72 SBS etched set (made from steel) in my 1:48 Stearman build. It looks great! To avoid trouble and bending I glued the metal only on one side and make sure that the other side can move freely in its hole (left them longer).

@bughunter I think that is the way I will go with the rigging too. I had heard of folk doing that with the Tamiya Swordfish metal rigging too.

Beautiful work so far! Definitely following.

A side question, you mentioned that you had to deal with water marks during the descaling process - how do people generally deal with them if they don't rub off with a damp cloth?

Wonderful progress so far 👍 And yes, the metal rigging is very tricky!

@CaptGPF I find that they normally will disappear once a Clea coat is applied over the top. The problem I had this time was that the white sections of the roundels had areas where they hadn't adhered to the paint and those areas were darker than the rest.

Incredible work man! Nice job on correcting the issues with the decals.

Did you paint the EZ Line silver after installing? I wasn't quite sure if it can be painted, or the paint ends up weakening the line over time.

I have the SBS sets as well as some from AIMS for some of my kits in the stash (like the Airfix Walrus) but now I'm a bit worried about the sagging as you experienced. For my 1/72 JRS-1, I used stainless steel rod for the rigging which worked very well - no sagging and didn't need to be painted. I just don't know if I can find stainless steel in longer lengths for larger scales as I was using cut down insect pins.
