I'll get some more pictures up, later today, but basically this is something that I've always wanted and finally got the chance to have.
I printed this myself, after purchasing the files. I have to admit, these are bloody amazing files. I had a few hiccups during printing, and this was narrowed down to a corrupt flash drive. I can't wait to get this one done and on the shelf.

I shall, Martin. Just need to get back in the cave and take some. I can tell you that the chassis is very good. It lines up almost flawless.

It looks so weird in that milky plastic

@martin. I bought some ABS-like, transparent resin, so I could use it for clear parts. What you see is, 2mm thick clear. I've not tried it any thinner, but for my taste, it's not good enough to use as glass for cab windows, etc? However, I'll give it a try, soon, just for a sample. Even i can be wrong, sometimes?

You're not wrong, you tried something new that didn't work out as hoped. No shame in that!

How have I missed this?
Wow Bozzer that is awesome. I agree with Martin it does look strange in that colour. At first glance I thought it was bread dough!

The original mistake was how I orientated the print. Also, I cured it in my machine. On the second attempt, I cured it slowly by sunlight and started assembly before it was fully cured. That turned out better, because I was able to get a better joint and the Super Glue held it better. Still a little filling, but a much better result. My plan is to light sand everywhere, then apply a filler/primer. I need to source this, but I will.
You boys will appreciate this....
The wife walked into the new cave, and stopped talking!
She's now aware of the stash that I've accumulated, during her absence. She said that I must have spent a lot, on kits?
I told her that they're cheaper than hookers!
When the swelling goes down, from my black eyes, I'll start modelling again!

Looking great ๐Ÿ‘
What is it made from??
I've never come across a build like this??

You should have gone with 'cheaper than booze' ๐Ÿ˜‚

Taken out of context 'starting modelling again' doesn't sound much better ๐Ÿคช

Lol, she was cool with it really.
@Mr D. This is an ABS-like, clear resin and printed on a resin printer. It's the largest resin build, I've done, to date.

Thanks Bozzer, learned something new.
Looks a fun project, all the best with it ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I have been out of the loop as my summer has been very busy. I shall be very interested how this comes along. I can afford a 3D printer, I simply do not have the space for one.

Nice work. Resin printing is hard.

Thanks gents. I'll be honest and say, 3D printers are a great tool, however I still love to do scratchbuilding. I can print and it zips away, while I paint, sand, glue, etc, but getting out my steel rule and measuring a length of plastic, then turning it into something cool, makes my heart pump faster.
When I watch you guys, create your own masterpieces, it spurs me on. The inspiration that I get from some of the modellers on this forum, is priceless.

Oh, I forgot....
There's a special limited edition Convoy 4K UHD twin disk Blu-ray dvd that's coming out soon. Currently it's on pre-order at Amazon. If you are a collector or fan, it's a good buy.
RIP Rubber Duck, your legend will live on.

I've actually laid down some primer, and that revealed a few gaps and bumps. So, I sanded and filled, primed again and checked, and yes, there's more sanding. I'll get some pictures of it.
Glad to have you onboard Yingy. You'll like this 🙂

Forgive me but I don't understand where the rubber duck trailer is from.
 23 June, 02:19

It is the tanker truck from the 70's movie Convoy.

it's summer time and Bozzer is busy working on his old motorcycle...so if you see a guy screaming down the road on a vintage machine, foaming at the mouth it may be him

Great description Mona. Only thing missing is a stack of second hand truck kits on the buddy seat.

And also busy building raised flower beds, from concrete blocks. Believe me, I'd rather be painting plastic! I just hand mixed over a ton of concrete and poured it! You can be certain, the English are definitely mad! However, the motorcycle is coming together slowly and the Berlin wall of Manchester is progressing well too. Unfortunately, this is all taking my time up. The only consolation I have, is watching the news and seeing what goes on in the world? However, I'm also keeping an eye on you lot, and also that famous auction site. No new acquisitions recently, but a few that I've missed. The RC show is coming up, and I'll be there with my new truck. Hopefully I'll be on someone's video and I'll post a link for you guys. Then after that, it's back to the bench, and to cut through the backlog of builds, that have been waiting so long. Record temperatures here, in the UK, mean that the outside works are at full pace. But everyone knows, it's not going to last. However, if this trend continues next year, I might buy myself a BBQ? Thanks for checking in on me guys, and you all know that I luv ya! Happy sniffing, and save some paint for me 🙂

Wow Bozzer you really know how to have fun! Thank you Bill for explaining that, I kind of thought of that but wasn't sure. I myself have all the kits to build for the 70's song Convoy by CW Mcall including the micro bus. Still a great song that inspired a great movie!

Hey Tim that's impressive. Do you have a kit of Sheriff Lyle Wallace's car as well?

Hey Nigel That's the movie, I have the vehicles for the song.

Cabover Pete with a reefer on, and a kenworth haulin' hogs?

but a Mack("lovemachine") was hauling go-go girls seems CW didn't have a say in Sam's movie production lol ...huh Boz 😉

Lol, spot on Mona. Truth is, Sam wasn't doing so well, towards the end of the movie. They actually had it down as a flop! But at the time, CB radio was big, truckers were going through a crisis, and everyone had something to relate to? The film actually became a classic, however the original song didn't. Not a lot of people actually know that there's an original version? Even better, we here, had a comical UK version, that I gotta admit, still makes me laugh! Very tongue in cheek, and totally British 🙂 You can find it on YouTube, and I assure anyone with a sense of humour, that you'll laugh. Let's face it, it's what us British are famous for? 😉

did anyone ever produce a Diamond T or a Brockway kit ? I've been thinking about building the Mack cab over after the kenworth
1  26 June, 00:45
Tim Heimer
Bozzer it was a kenworth haulin logs, cabover pete with a reefer on and a Jimmy (GMC) haulin hogs. What was the name of the one in the UK? bing.com/videos/rive..1BBD&FORM=VAMGZC

You Euro boys might appreciate that one. I gotta admit, I see some tasty artwork, on some of the trucks I see, while cruising through England and Wales.

@ Mona. AITM did both. However, they're not cheap! These days, Resin is the best way to go. I think that you can get a file for around $50-$60 and then of course, you need it printed.
