This model kit has some problems. The most serious one that cannot be ignored is its front armor. The upper cover of the gearbox is adapted to the 80 mm front upper armor. However, the kit provides 50 mm. Although it still has 30 mm additional armor（Pz.IV(H）type), but this additional armor has rivets, and the viewing window opening is not suitable for G type, so if you want to complete this kit, you need to make some changes to it; but I also saw that this kit contains some parts which appears on Pz.IV(F), so RFM models will definitely launch more Pz.IV models in the near future. （I don't speak English. I used a translator. There may be errors. I hope everyone can understand.）

Hi Neil, THX for sharing your impression. I went deeper into your comment. There are some remarks from my side. The Uparmor of the Pz IV was not without discussion from the side of the Waffenamt. And it was not like a hard cut with a new series a systematic change. Inbetween end of 1942 and begin of 1943 there have been delivered hulls with different armor plates on the front.
You can build the different first versions out of the Ryefield model, as the armor plates are in the kit as screwed versions, and you can simple remove the bolts to have "welded" plates. I suggest that everybody who wants to build a tank looks for a specific tank on photographies or building it out of the box, its defenitly a quite early one from end 1942 production, not yet uparmored in the field.
With the Winterkette, its a fit for a vehicle on the Eastern Front in winter 1942/43.
