Christian W YazarThere is a 50th Anniv kit, which reads "Grand Sport" on it. I luckly grabbed one today (on order) and soon I will see, whether the rear fender flares are included in the kit or not.

Christian W YazarDamned. I had to check the instructions and I was sure, that I put them on like it was in the instructions. It looks strange and you are right: they are mounted wrong.
But because the owner is such a cool dude, he mounted it differently so that when he hangs his arm out the window, he can more easily tilt his head back to check out girls while rolling along. Otherwise, he always got a stiff neck 😄

I stumbled across this color at an auction and liked it immediately. I'll just leave them as they are. They look good this way too, even if they don't have that orange shimmer.

Googlesearch results: google.com/search?q=..orvette&tbm=isch ; on some pictures you can see how difficult it was to paint. Some front ends have little other color like the rest of the car.
This color looks incredible on the C4.

Christian W YazarAfter preparing all the parts for painting, I started with the body parallel with it's Coupe buddy 🙂. The copper looks not that orangish like the original but I've ordered the right color so I go with it.
I have to do the hood again.

But: there is only one survived 1983 Corvette around - in the National Corvette Museum. You know 😄 But right: no ZR1 :/
@Sander ... Not really. I think AMT/ERTL were lazy when they took the picture. The kits with the yellow ones on it are pretty the same and were eas to complete. Mine sits pretty good on the wheels.

Christian W YazarThank you! A year is gone and I'm not really further with it. After multiple work on the hood (it cracked a log around the former hole for the shaker) I got my hand on an fitting hood. So I made a mold and did my own. Now I'm on track again and will work on the paint job.

Christian W YazarIt's my interpretion of Mr. Beans car. So for that there is also an interior of a Honda with it's powertrain and exhaust. It's only the (close to original) paint and license plate.....
There is no problem to import foreign cars and get them road legal. The position of the steering wheel is the smallest problem. Modelling is, what makes me happy. I don't really care about authenticity in that case 😄
You can read my intention in the description of the project (scroll down). It was never the idea to build a replica of Mr. Beans Mini.
