Personal Interest: The A-7 aircraft of the South Dakota ANG routinely practiced strike missions near my childhood home in rural Nebraska. In December 1989, the 175th TFS was at Howard AFB on a Coronet Cove deployment when Operation Just Cause, the United States invasion of Panama, was initiated. The 175th TFS flew in 34 combat missions there.
