I'm on that, I'm on that 😄 ! I couldn't await this kit and it sits on my "to built soon" stash all on the top.
That, what I saw of this kit, is fantastic. Sure, the painting will be a little challenge (on the inside) but the kit itself is great. If you've built some Heller kits (new kits like the Renault R4), you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for your comment, tyu. To be honest, I based my color scheme more on built models than on reference photos. I think it will turn out quite well in the end, but to be historically accurate, it would probably need to be more reddish. The color will certainly darken a bit more, as the weathering process progresses. 😊

That is a fantastic kit! I only recommend to replace the thin rods by brass, see my build. Saves also the effort to clean 7 sprue gates on each of those little buggers.

Underside colours added including Vallejo Model Air IJA Chrome yellow & Hataka Golden Yellow (mixed) and Vallejo Model Air USAF interior light green for wheel wells. Next will be airbrushing gloss varnish and adding the main decals. 🙂

Once soldered it's ok but it isn't brass, more like copper. Normally I'd solder both parts to be joined then use a gas torch to fuse the surfaces together. As the frame rails have locating tabs which are half thickness I accidentally burned through the metal and had to make an inner frame section to strengthen the joint. Rookie mistake but who uses super thin copper! Once soldered it's secure- it does flex but not excessively.

Used Deluxe 'Looks Like Glass' for the canopy. Dipped, then set up on paper towel to absorb the excess. Let dry for 24 hours. I think they came out pretty good.
Have some Kit Masx on order, but they are for the Airfix B-25 C/D kit, Hopefully they will fit, because I don't really want to try to mask each individual panel by hand.
I had to re-build the seats, as they were a little too big to fit under the canopy. A couple quick slices with the Exacto and looking like they will fit now.
Added 1 oz of fishing weights under the cockpit floor. Hopefully this is enough so it won't be a tail-sitter.

The B-25Cs and Ds were designated Mitchell II. Altogether, 167 B-25Cs and 371 B-25Ds were delivered to the RAF.
The RAF tested the cannon-armed G series but did not adopt the series nor the follow-on H series.
In the Far East, No. 3 PRU, which consisted of Nos. 681 and 684 Squadrons, flew the Mitchell (primarily Mk IIs) on photographic reconnaissance sorties.

It will be interesting to see.
