Thanks John! It's not as bad as it looks. What's unusual for me is the number of seats and their corresponding seatbelts 😂
Nice to have you here Hans-Jürgen.

Nice to have you 3 here 😊 So far I really like the kit. It's a welcome change from my usual aircraft.

Thank you for your feedback mates.
So far I really like the built - the fit may be a bit challenging, but it should be alright in the end 😊

Thank you CaptGPF 😊
Slowly but surely, we're moving towards painting.

I had wondered what the deal with the yellow "pre-shading" was, but was patiently waiting to see.
Now it makes sense, it really brings the otherwise "flat" orange main colour to life.

Thanks guys 😊
@Guido: Thank you, it's nice that the effect I wanted to achieve is being noticed 😊

Your model looks very nice already with the PE mesh and this yellow orange. It will be interesting how it will look like with decals and details!

I thought this yellow/orange would serve as a base for the artic red color, I guess I was wrong. Never seen an image resembling this kind of weathered appearance on the artic scheme, maybe the OP can guide me in the right direction for that?

Guys, I want to do a nice beginner model helicopter. What might I want to purchase?

Thanks for your comment, tyu. To be honest, I based my color scheme more on built models than on reference photos. I think it will turn out quite well in the end, but to be historically accurate, it would probably need to be more reddish. The color will certainly darken a bit more, as the weathering process progresses. 😊

Also, this is a great paint scheme, and much farther in quality than anything I could make. What paints did you use?

Really cool scheme and yes it does stand out. Nice preshading and modulation of the yellow, always hard to make that color work.
