I've got a few of these little 1/43 Heller kits. This is the first one I've cracked into. So small. Always liked these old British everyday cars. Of course there's not much to the kit at all. I painted it with a flat green and then hit it with a dusting of clear just to make it look less flat. Wanted it to be like a well used car with the gloss knocked off. Fun and quick build.

AHH, that's a blast from the past!
Believe it or not, these were supposed to be a luxury car? They were large and very slow. The shape always reminds me of a door wedge. A buddy of mine inherited one, not long after he'd started driving, and he soon got rid of it! There was a smaller, similar version, called the Austin Allegro. Nicknamed the "All Agro" because of the failing suspension and not so well thought about engine. Personally, I liked the estate "station wagon" version, because it reminded me of a mini hearse, but that's just me. Nice job on this one Kyle 👍

Rarely seen car and I never saw this kit built. Looks nice, I love it!

Thank you Bozzer. Love the backstory. I couldn't tell how large it was really with it being my only 1/43 scale kit so far. But I do have a Mini to put with it soon. That will give a nice visual!! I sort of enjoy the styling on this one. Very in period.
Thanks István!
