This project is a way down my list so I won't be building it soon.

Both this kit and the conversion kit are quite hard to come by so I bought them as soon as I found them even though I have a bunch of other kits to build first.

I'm sure there are a lot of more experienced people of there who can give you better advice on resin kits. But the things I've learned from the few I've done is.

1. They generally don't fit together as well so do test fitting of parts early and you will likely need to cut things or fill things to get them looking good.
2. Paint does not stick to resin well. I'd give all the resin parts a good wash and scrub first then do a coat of primer before the final paint. I usually don't bother with this on plastic kits.

I rode in a street legal Sierra Cosworth. Took me two days to crowbar my boxer shorts, out of my arse cheeks! The kid did 0-100 in as many yards, then hit the brakes for the traffic lights! We stopped in time, but I never rode with him again. He's probably dead now, but I still remember that day.

I remember the clowns here in the States trying to turn crappy Escort GT's into these cars, didnt work out to well for them.

Bozzer, I've only seen a Sierra Cosworth in a museum behind a velvet rope, I can only imagine what that must have been like to experience.

Bob, I didn't know until just now that the Ford Escort is a completely different car in the States compared to Europe.

J4, I can still remember the sound of the dump valve and the turbo spooling around. Some of my buddies had some cool cars though. In the 90's, I hung around with some guys who were in a VW club. It was like a custom show, outside my flat, some nights. The local kids used to hang out on the front, to see what turned up next? It was very handy for security lol

Bozzer, that sounds amazing! Most of my experience of cars is through video games. Only one or two of my friends had cars growing up and I didn't get my first car until well into my 30s.
