Normally I would paint the entire top surface one of the camo colours then mask for the subsequent colours. This results in pre shading for that 2nd colour not to be as obvious. So I tried to paint the green and avoid what will be the brown areas - both freehand and then for the second coat I roughly masked. Let's see how this turns out? Also, the kit came with multiple canopy choices. The one currently on the aircraft is more for masking than end-use. I am going to use the 3 part set for an open canopy.

Ben, I am back into the hobby just a little over 2 years. At first I did not know about preshading. Then, when I did preshade, it all went for naught because I sprayed the camo with so many coats that the subtle effect disappeared... less is more.

Just about to do a light coat of satin clear, and then look at the decals. I am yet to make a decision on which canopy(s) to use.

The model is going together well. Major decals to do then some light weathering. Two boo-boos self inflicted:Lessons learned,
1. Don't add glue to tail wheel while holding tail wheel over glue bottle.. -Holding with tweezers and oops - it was almost sprue goo. I have other empty bottles so a little bit
of a pour and I was fortunate.
2. Don't jiggle the machine guns to 'adjust them'. I broke one off but was lucky, with a steady hand and crazy glue, recovered.
-Of course, I am not finished yet... hehe

Okay.. Aircraft is done, with official portrait done. Interesting plane from based on an interesting idea - a lot of firepower - to attack un escorted bombers... On to the next
