Priller's seemed to have an unorthodox camo applied over the factory colours. Have not seen it on other E3s. Could be a unit thing? That's why I chose it… different. Quick question please, should I give it a coat of satin, before I do the weathering? Colours seem a little "washed out".

Desert Martin, the drops could be blood. I think I read somewhere that it symbolises Neville Chamberlaiin. Could be the blood on his hands, maybe? Not sure though. Hope to do one of Priller's FW190s, soon. Would be a good companion to the 109.

Interesting story about Neville Chamberlain. Makes sense. I got the impression that Priller was not exactly happy with the direction or expectations that existed in the Reich especially as D-Day approached...

Could you provide the colors used for the Upper and Lower surfaces of this paint scheme? Cheers!!!

I used AK11817 RLM65 for lower surfaces, AK11821 RLM70 and AK11822 RLM71 for the upper factory colors from AK Interactive (air). The cockpit, wheel wells and camo were done in SMS Premium Grau RLM02 PL179. I used SMS for these because this brand is more forgiving and seems to give me better control when airbrushing smaller details and mottling. I'm still very much learning airbrushing. Hope this answers your question Desert Marlin. BTW, AK paints were thinned with AV Vallejo mix of 70% thinner, 30% flow improver and 10 drops of retarder. I saw this somewhere on YouTube.

Thanks! Good rundown on the paint! I really like your outcome on this kit!

Thanks Desert Marlin. I'll finish the weathering this weekend and it will be done.

Well, I'm finished. LOL well maybe I still need a bit of exhaust stains. I think that's all.
