Unfortunately, the rivets are too faint, and I really wanted to make them pop - so I went back and re-riveted them back on - which took a couple of hours and a generous helping of words unsuitable for younger viewers…

I couldn't find the SH-3 for this build, but was able to get my hands on a discounted limited edition of it, so I just opted to paint and slap on the USS Nimitz decals. This build is taking a bit longer than anticipated due to some compelling need to really make this beautiful kit shine…. So here's the first drop.

Thank you,Stephan & Johannesburg! I'll try next best to make the build worth the follow! 😀

I see nothing bad with letting yourself go and making the kit even more detailed and good looking - coming from someone who does this on every kit now.. 😄
Taking a seat too!

Finally done! Not as super detailed as the other Sea Kings out there, but I hope it was worth the trip for you guys to see. 😀
@Alexander - I'm not sure I'll ever get to your level of detailing like that Armata! I love the artistic license you used for updetailing and camo - totally wicked!
@Christian - looking forward to seeing that J-16 of yours!

Thank you for the warm comments Mates!
@Johannes - your SeaHorse is coming along beautifully - I love how you broke up the sea of yellow/orange!
@Alexander - I still can't get over your mad skills with super detailing on the Armata - your paint work is astounding and I'm learning a lot from your post
@Neuling - SOMEDAY, I hope to be half as good as you are with dioramas, detailing, weathering and creativity. I hope to get closer to your beautiful builds one day. 😀
@NIck - I just love your breadth of builds, you are the consummate modeller who slays regardless of the subject matter! Though I am not a Wildcat fan, even your build made me consider building one, if I ever get around to finishing my stash! 😀
