Put the car aside and started working on this little one. Some literature says the F series was the best 109. Sounds like due to more power but similar to the E. Subsequent series were heavier, even with more powerful engines.

I was just test fitting the Canopy and it did not drop down on the fuselage easily. Either I did not press the cockpit assembly or seat deep enough into the fuselage, or not the best design, or both. I also smudged the canopy with my finger oils trying to 'make it fit'. Will try to clean it up. I had to sand the top of the seat headrest - armour plate above the pilot's head.. Now less protection for the little fellow..

After a little break back at it. Almost finished. Decal on, panel lines done. - A little bit o weathering to do..

Now that it is nearly complete, the yellow cowling looks ok. I scored some panel lines into the paint. If I would do this over I would score some panel lines on the upper wings before assembly.
