This build was a kind of mojo build as I have too many unfinished build on the bench and I missed that "I finished something" feeling. I did it in a bit more than a week and initially didn't plan to share it. So there is no build progress documentation. I didn't expect this to turn out nice to be honest ...

Thomas Haberl - (TH SCALE MODELS) AuthorThanks much @Mike! @Jakub: the chances are very high that I continue with the MiG-19 and maybe the F-86 as well. Two NMF in parallel … all or nothing 😂 but the Yak definitely brought the mojo back. Finishing a build feels really good 🤩

Thomas Haberl - (TH SCALE MODELS) AuthorThanks a lot mates! Appreciate you all and your feedback is overwhelming! To be honest, the snow was not planned. I had some fogging on the canopy so I covered it with snow and then one come to the other ... I even added a small snowbank underlining the wind direction ... sometimes modeling is crazy 🤪

Thomas Haberl - (TH SCALE MODELS) Author@Alex: thanks much! @Fanching: sure, this is possible and I am glad to share it with you. It´s very easy - I took AK snow terrains, thinned it down with water. This was then applied with a sponge on the desired spots and immediately covered with Ammo powder snow. Let it dry and remove the excess powder with a soft brush. The AK snow terrains was used as a kind of binder - probably works with diluted PVA or Ammo Ultra glue as well.
