This is going to be built for an ' old school Italeri ' group build over on Twenot forums.

Thanks Pietro ๐๐ป
Meanwhile I have started to add details to the body.

The exhaust will be changed, I used the wrong diameter because i wasn't paying attention ๐ซฃ

Made a start on making the armour plating for the front

Stowage basket is coming along. All in all there is a lot that needs changing or added to this kit, more than I initially had planned anyway. But it's fun to do something out of my comfort zone ๐

Lots of little scratch build details. It will pay off in the end.

More work done, progress is slow, as about everything is being adapted or changed.

Thanks Pietro ๐๐ป
Meanwhile I've been tinkering with the ammunitiondrums for the Vickers, trying to make them look a bit better.

Yes. Nice detailing. It's those small things that seem to make a project stand out
2 7 October, 15:38
It is fixed to the real car like this, so I have replicated it.
1 26 October, 17:43
Real nice progress.
Je hebt ook wel stevige competitie, op Twenot, met nog een sas-jeep
๐
2 26 October, 18:45
De Jeep van Bas is van een heel ander niveau.
Dat is geen competitie dat is genieten.
1 26 October, 21:17
Sorted out the stowage today.
This is about ready to get painted.
1 27 October, 15:20
Amazing scratchbuilding! Are you going to make a small diorama with this Jeep?
2 27 October, 15:41
Started painting.
Base colours are airbrushed, the rest will be painted by brush.
1 28 October, 10:54
The basecoat is an airbrushed coat of Tamiya olive drab. The other tones are lifecolor, from a set of olive drab tones. These are heavily diluted with water, and applied by brush.
1 28 October, 17:24
Really useful technique, I will probably use it in my next model painted olive drab
1 28 October, 17:28
A little progress made. Working on the stowage is time consuming.

Thanks Gorby ๐๐ป
How are you? Haven't seen you much recently, or am I missing something?
13 November, 15:32
We're in the process of moving house at the moment, so modelling is a rare treat and may well be for quite a while to come. 🙁
1 13 November, 16:35
It not finished yet Pietro ๐
But thank you very much for your kind words ๐๐ป
1 14 November, 18:33
Nearing completion of the Jeep now.
Next step will be a simple piece of groundwork. The figures are due the 29th of November.
2 19 November, 10:30
The Jeep itself turned out amazing. Looking forward to seeing the finished dio

Thanks Paul ๐๐ป
I've added a final layer of dust, and this will be set aside while I work on the groundwork.
1 20 November, 19:11
Wow Jan. I almost not recognize the kit you started with. Great representation of the real one. Curious about your base.

Figure #2 in progress. All seams have been reworked, and some detail is added.
Getting the arms and hands to hold the gun is a challenge in it self, I'm still not convinced.
The head is from the beautiful Arto SAS head set.
