Vor Jahren habe ich 2 fast vollständge aber begonen Bausätze der Béarn bekommen. Nach dem ein anderer Modellbaukollege seine als unbaubar verschrottet hatte sind die Bausätze erst einmal ins lager gewandert. Inspiriert von dem Post (SCM Newsfeed) vom Steven Van Dyck habe ich die Bausätze hervorgeholt und mal eine Besatndsaufnahme gemacht. Ich hoffe mein Bau wird genauso gut wie der von Steven, auch wenn ich etwa anders vorgehen werde.

Years ago, I received two almost complete but unfinished Béarn kits. After another modeling colleague scrapped his as unbuildable, the kits were put into storage. Inspired by Steven Van Dyck's post (SCM Newsfeed), I dug out the kits and took a look at them. I hope my build will be as good as Steven's, even if I'll be doing it a little differently.

I wish you well with this build, Robert. I knew there had to be other people having that kit and wanting to build it. I recommend waiting with the mounting of the railings as long as possible. If you want to attach the anchor chains, you should make cutouts in that "wall" on the foredeck.

Alle PE Teile der Brücke gerichtet. Rohre am Schornstein Hinzugefügt, Mast erweitert und Kran aufgebohrt. Probemontage der Brücke.

All PE parts of the bridge straightened. Pipes added to the smoke stack, mast extended and crane drilled out.Test fitting of the bridge.

Die verschiedenen Ebenen der Brücke zusammengesetzt bemalt. Etwas Nacharbeit ist noch nötig, da ich nicht ganz zufrieden bin....
The different levels of the bridge have been assembled and painted. Some finishing rework is still needed, as I'm not entirely satisfied....

Take care about the doors you added to the left side of the bridge. I had to remove these because of the lattice mast that will fit there. The arrow sign on that mast was hitting the doors, and there can't be made any walkway there. I replaced them with simple hatches. [img1]
