Done! It wasn't easy; the fit wasn't as good as I first thought.

Looks great, Stefan! I have the kit as well and will start building it soon. From what I have seen in the box, you did an amazing job. Looking forward to the finished model.

Thank you for your positive feedback.
I am getting more and more to the opinion, not to use high glossy clear varnish.
I think I will mix in some semi-gloss to get somewhere between semi-gloss and gloss. Curious how this will turn out.

Hello Berni, it is all Revell enamel as the manual suggests (including all the mixing), but white is Tamiya X-2 and red is X-7.

I have a couple of these and couldn't get the butt ends of the car to fit dry fit properly, have you fiund that to be an issue and, if so, did you find a solution?

Hi Bossy, you mean the two body halves? Putting them together before painting was no issue. For preventing unnessesary scratches I will give another try not earlier than final assembly.

The 2 main body pieces. With mine, using the male/female guides on the 2 pieces, it leaves a sizeable gap between the 2 at the back. I imagine if i just cut off the male guide, it may fit properly.

Thank you. It's fun, even if it's not that easy and not everything works out the way I imagined it would.

Thank you Andre, with decals i am getting better and better 🙂
Actually the white on the front cooler outlets are decals, not paint.
My idea is to have nice clear coat, but not as glossy as on a civil car. It still is a race car. Will leave it with one or maybe two layers.
