A classic. An interesting subject. Makes me want to stay out of the water (including showers).

It's only the interior primer, but I couldn't resist to that teaser photo. I used epoxy glue for the vinyl parts, but would rather have liked a traditional 2 tube formula in stead of this all-or-nothing approach by Pattex. You have to do all gluing in a few minutes because the glue will set inside the disposable nozzle. And you only get one spare nozzle. By the time I wanted to add the head, the nozzle was jammed shut and I had to resort to contact glue, because I didn't want to go through the spare nozzle for only the head. I later removed the head again. The glue also leaks from the nozzle attachment, quite messy to handle.

I was able to use longer curing epoxy glue for the head and pectoral fins. This allowed for som sculpting at the seams. I also used it to assemble the diver, next time I'll show that one.

An entire day of sanding the shark skin was spent. Epoxy glue stains were milled smooth. Small cracks were filled with CA. Some primer was applied to see any steps between the original parts. After milling, the sanding started again. Then, a coat of Motip black paint was applied. On the smooth shark skin any traces of seams remain visible.

Painting is done. First the shark was painted light grey. Then the dark grey top was prepared with gum rolls and after removing the gum, some torn paper was used to finish de edges.
