Martin, if this build will be a Legendary Lode Build, it will take a miracle. Never had such a bad Trumpeter kit seen in my life. It takes tons of sanding flash and filling gaps
Spanjaard, see previous answer 😉
Gorby, welcome on board

As the requester, I'm much obliged.
Again welding 2 million pieces together with the hand of the master. I am still very impressed.

those inks certainly make it look better.
why there are no notifications when a build that you follow gets new pictures, is something that keeps annoying me.... i missed the last pictures in January! hope there is some progress now 😉

Same problem here, Spanjaard. I receive no notifications at all, so I miss a lot of the progress all you guys make. I should find some time to upload some new pictures. there are a few

What is that weird blue thing in picture 22? ๐Ÿ˜‚
Just leave a comment after uploading pictures. That'll fire notifications all around the internet

Martin, what an odd question. That blue thing in the pictures is called a brodie helmet. For the Royal Navy painted in navy blue. I thought you knew that 😉

Spanjaard, as a matter a fact, there are 62 from which you see only 56 😉 The other ones are already installed on turret X

It took me 17 minutes, but I did find my jaw again.
56 is impressive, 62 is 10% more impressive ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thx Spanjaard, Thx Martin. Both of you lost a jaw. Two of the them make jaws, LOL. More pictures will follow the next few weeks. HMS Nelson coming bit by bit to a ship

Damn you are good Lode! Can I get an autograph if I can visit please! Words fail to adequately describe the journey I have been privileged to watch you travel! And, I literally tripped over Martin's jaw while it was on the floor!

Peter, I only give an autograph if I receive one from the master truck builder. I thank you for your kind words, because the trek we have been setting for several years now, not just with this build, we have walked together and yours is an impressive one in my opinion. As for Martin's jaw, well Martin is a special case. With the jaw, that will be fine....

James, Tim, thank you for your comments. Too many superlatives, but that is my opinion. Yeah, I try to apply more techniques, and other products

Martin, Antonio, thank you, mates
Peter, I don't know how it comes, but every year around this time, father time comes to tell me that I have grown older; fortunately, he only comes once a year. As for that Belgian beer, do you have a particular preference?
 2 July, 14:14
Martin Oostrom
As long as Father Time keeps coming and finds you in good health each year, he's welcome!

"Man the boats"! Wow!!!!! They look outstanding Lode!

Thanks Peter. Well, I recently discovered AK Interactive inks. With these inks, you can add more nuance in thin layers with the airbrush. See also the photos of the keel. For the boats, the inks reproduce better the warm colour of mahogany . And I gave the hull of the boats a more realistic look with Green stuff, which led to this result

Well it is, as we say here, "Gobsmacking "! You can be proud of each of them!
