Personal Interest: Variants of the Minuteman ICBM have been operational throughout the north central United States since 1962. As such, the USAF used variants of the Minuteman before I was born, during my USAF career, and still to this day. The most modern variant, the Minuteman III, entered service in 1970. At the height of deployment in the 1980s, there were over 1,000 Minuteman ICBMs, all on alert. In the 2000s, each Minuteman III was modified to carry a single warhead to comply with START II.
Model Specifications: This model is painted as an active duty nuclear weapon.
