Alberto Traverso 著者Thank you Spanjaard. The kit includes a set of pre cut reflective film (see picture #8). you can get similar ones on ebay or some hobby stores.

Sits 著者I'm looking for thoughts on something slightly confusing with the AML decals. I've added two photos: part of the painting/decal guide for GP Kuzmin's aircraft, and part of the decal set. So is 10a (the little red stars) meant to sit on top of the white stars(?) which are on the right of decal 10? There are not the same number. Seems strange. Why not just have one decal?

Sits 著者Actually I checked using AI and it seems that 10a does go over 10: "For AML Soviet Aces La-5FN decals, yes, decal 10a (often a smaller, contrasting numeral or detail) typically goes over or layered on top of decal 10 (the main, larger number) to create a multi-layered or shadowed effect, common for Soviet squadron markings where numbers were often outlined or backed by another color, according to general modeling practices for these specific sets. Always check the specific placement guide or profile picture for the chosen aircraft in the AML set for confirmation, as the '10' and '10a' usually form a single marking"

KyMustang - First, I painted the contrasting preshading. Then I applied the base color in thin, sheer layers.
Then came washes, pigments, and oilbrushers.

Tim Builder 著者Thanks guys for your kind words. Painting this one really was a lot of fun. I especially enjoy these kind of subjects because there aren't really any "rules" which makes it hard to go wrong 😃 With the exception of an enamel filter, all the weathering was achieved using acrylics.

BozzerDefinitely keep me posted mate, and I'll keep you updated too. Between us, we have to get a decent result? Just an idea for you though mate... There's quite a few figures on cults, that are free? You can scale them yourself and just print them. I use them for practice, so I don't screw up an expensive figure. I've got some Masterbox figures, that I don't want to ruin, by making any school boy errors? Painting WWII figures was easy, compared to getting women's skin, makeup, hair and clothing right! I still can't get a decent brown colour, for my Mr T figure? I truly believe that you are getting there now though, brother. But don't stop, because I'm right on your back door, and I'll be showing my wares, in the coming months 😉
