I just realised there is part of another kit in the first photo. The thing with 71 on it is the engine cowl off an old Airfix 1/24 Spitfire. I use it to test colours and decals. The 71 is from the AML set I've bought for this.

KyMustang - First, I painted the contrasting preshading. Then I applied the base color in thin, sheer layers.
Then came washes, pigments, and oilbrushers.

Thanks guys for your kind words. Painting this one really was a lot of fun. I especially enjoy these kind of subjects because there aren't really any "rules" which makes it hard to go wrong 😃 With the exception of an enamel filter, all the weathering was achieved using acrylics.

Definitely keep me posted mate, and I'll keep you updated too. Between us, we have to get a decent result? Just an idea for you though mate... There's quite a few figures on cults, that are free? You can scale them yourself and just print them. I use them for practice, so I don't screw up an expensive figure. I've got some Masterbox figures, that I don't want to ruin, by making any school boy errors? Painting WWII figures was easy, compared to getting women's skin, makeup, hair and clothing right! I still can't get a decent brown colour, for my Mr T figure? I truly believe that you are getting there now though, brother. But don't stop, because I'm right on your back door, and I'll be showing my wares, in the coming months 😉

Marius, I was waiting for years for a new 19 (Trumpeter had it in their catalog in 2019 I think), so when I finally started it and Clear Prop released the PM, it was a bit discouraging. But by that time I was far enough into it to quit. It will be finished.
