Personal Interest: The A-7D Corsair II was used at the Tonopah Test Range as a surrogate trainer and systems testbed during developmental test and evaluation of the YF-117A. The A-7D was already among my favorite planes, as they regularly flew training missions over my family's farm in the 1970s and 1980s. Learning about its role in fielding the F-117 only enamored me more with the this aircraft.
Model Specifications: This model represents an A-7D as used by the 4450th TG, painted in a two-tone green and gray camouflage pattern.
