Quite a large number of Czech Gripens have received an interesting colouring sometime during their service in the Czech Air Force. Most of them were single-seat aircraft that participated in the allied TIGER MEET exercises.

However, some Czech Gripen also carried special livery dedicated to various anniversaries associated with the Czech Air Force. In 2015, a two-seat JAS-39D aircraft with the number 9820 (the model for my model) of the Czech Air Force carried special colours on its tail on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Gripen's entry into service at 211 TL in Čáslav.
