Matchbox 1/72 SAAB J-29 Tunnan

An enjoyable build but I put in some extra work. I tweaked the engine inlet area by filing and sanding down to make it look more proper. I also used a cut piece of a pen's cap to improve the inside part of the inlet. The other area I tweaked was the engine's exhaust but not using the tube the kit provided and again used the rear section of a pen to replace the exhaust duct.

I used cheap acrylic paint for the base and silver coats. They were airbrushed. I used the decals that came with the kit.

All and all, not a bad kit. I knew very little about this aircraft so it was nice to read about a very interesting early jet from the start of the cold war.
