not much time for modelling lately, in fact the last pictures were taken more than a month ago 🙁
i think I am over-complicating this project......

Not really serious: nyx.meccahosting.com../me262swallofin1.htm
A bit more serious: nyx.meccahosting.com/~a0008aa9/me262a3.htm
More serious of the three: doogsmodels.com/2014..-me-262a-2a-part-iv/
Can't wait for the end of this project....

Thanks for the links Martin, I will keep the pictures of 111712 for future 262 builds (in bigger scale). The others,....well, colorful, true but 100%whatif😉
Thanks Lode. Unfortunately not having much modelling time lately, and none expected in the coming weeks
Greg, what can I say? 😄

A bit of artistic license in this one, but I think I like it as it is. Close to the finish line now....
22 July 2022, 08:18
Oh, I like that. Get your artistic license renewed! You're putting it to good use!

Thanks John and Simon. Next steps are just masking/painting de canopy, decals, a layer of future and some panel wash, some simple rigging/antenna, so it should easy. I doubt I will try to do the thin white lines again

Nice work so far on these tiny Schwalbes Spanjaard, must be hard to handle such small models!

models are ok, the PE for the cockpits can be quite some fun.... the 262 has only a few details. but the Spitfire has basically a full PE cockpit 😛

Nuts, completely nuts. This is insane in this scale, Spanjaard, but it shows what a hell of a builder you are. I like it very much

YES! Progress! We've been waiting an awful long time to see you do your magic on these itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny planes.

thanks a million, Lode!!!
awful lot of time Martin? that is a bit excessive....it has been only 6+ years since i started this project! 😄 😄 let's finish this 262 and see if i can get some more done 🙂

I just bought an academy P38J (putt putt maru). I bet mine takes longer than 6 years though! 😂
Forgive my basic questions but you seem to be in the school of thought that uses gloss varnish before adding decals. I need to add some decals to a couple of 1:76 scale Airfix tanks. Would you varnish them before the decals? I do also have some Matt finish varnish. Also I need to try out some micro set and micro sol for the first time 🙂

hi Danny, decals tend to work better on glossy surface than matt.it also reduces the chance of silvering as well. of course I read that some people do not agree and think that you do not need to use gloss coat before decals. it is a choice 🙂 .Of one thing I am sure, washes certainly work better on vloss than on matt.
