It is necessary to remove the imitation of the texture of the canvas, there was no such thing on a real plane.
I don't know why model manufacturers do this.
I recently had to deal with this on the Catalina model, there was a lot of this disaster.

Welcome to the project mates!
@Denis Dogadov - Yes, this really creates some additional work, maybe I will just leave things as-is this time. This one is just a recreational build to regain some mojo after some filler and sanding mayhem with other kits.

Go head Łukasz!😅👍🏻
Seams almost like we have a informal Storch group build going on in the feed at the moment.😂

You should have in mind there will be two new Storch kits from IBG in 1:72 soon. So one needs to decide to fight against an old kit or wait for the new one.

@bughunter - Great with a new kit, looking forward to see this one coming out for sale. In the meanwhile I'm sticking with Skyhiker's philosophy - No kit left behind👍🏻😊

Some progress today. Airframe in place, some additional details to the cockpit with PE seatbelts and some brass rods.

Quick progress 👍 Keep an eye on straight wings!

@bughunter - Thanks for the advice, wings was a little fiddly to get in position. Finally they panned out in a good way

That was a dream on my Tamiya Storch! Slide the painted wings on the metal spar and lock them with the upper clear part 🙂
That's the only reason I knew that the wings had to be straight.

Lovely! Main wings struts was a good fit on the Academy kit but the support struts was to short and plastic too thick so some brass rods will do the trick instead
