Hi guys,
This is the venerable TF-104G from Revell in Taiwanese colors, towards the end of its service life.
The Revell kit (# 04378) is somehow rare. Released in 1998 it was never re-issued for some mysterious reason.
It's a pretty typical Revell kit of that era, with nice engraved panel lines and no major build issues. It may not be the pinnacle of details straight out of the box but it's a sane base which can be easily upgraded.
I hope you like it 🙂

Amazing build as always! I hope you bring it to the next meet up so I could get a closer look 😁

My first thought was "this is not the Revell kit". You rescribed and riveted this, right? Looks fantastic 👍

Thank you all for your kind words.
@Kesa Yup, I'll bring it to one of the club meets.

And I forgot to answer @DerMattes
These are the original panel lines are rivets from the Revell kit. Not bad for a nearly 30 year old kit.
Having worked on some more recent Revell kits with "soft" panel lines, it really makes you wonder what happened to those nice & crisp 1990's panels.

Thank you guys!
@Łukasz this particular box had been in the stash for well over 15 years.
Your best bet is probably to wait for next Hasegawa re-pop?

This is one rare kit I regret selling. You chose a very interesting painting scheme that included the risk of becoming boring. Somehow you managed to make it very interesting to the eye without overdoing the weathering.

Thanks Marius!
I went through a bit of an all-grey streak, recently.
I just find overall light grey livery to have a strange kind of elegance. Just a plain neutral color, nothing to disturb the "lines" of the plane.
Or maybe I'm just a bit of a lazy painter 😄
It's likely that FM's new F-104 line will include a twin seater, we won't have to hunt for the elusive Revell or Hasegawa boxings.
