I haven't built an Airfix kit since I was a kid.
I'm curious to see how this one turns out.

Looks like it was designed to a price point. Shame, really.

You should tell the content or better a summary of the article because it is not readable without subscription 🙁

Oh, that's interesting, I don't have a subscription, but when I went to that page via Google it showed the entire article.

Anyhow, the major issues seem to be:
- no PE
- the exhaust muffler is clear plastic, not PE
- the windscreen wipers are moulded on and quite chunky
- some (potentially) visible ejector/sink marks
- the seats and cab details look quite chunky, but that might just be my eye

"moulding limitations mean the exhaust grille and headlight guards aren't as convincing as the rest of the kit and will undoubtedly attract attention from aftermarket companies"

I don't think I can upload photos here, so I cannot show you the exhaust grille or windscreen.

Your tip about a search works 🙂 Following your link they ask for money.
But I'm sure, the article will be closed soon as I had this already on this web site.

No doubt aftermarket will be along soon to solve all the issues you mentioned.
If Airfix hadn't designed it to a price point there would be other complaints here about the price of the kit. I'd rather it be affordable than perfect.

Not only affordable but also not overly complicated. Some people value a quick and easy build over fidelity. And that's valid.

All the same, it's enough to caution me from being an early adopter. There may be aftermarket, there may not.
