Sergey Kalinov Autor@Michael Kohl, thank you for your feedback on my work! The kit was designed a long time ago and by modern standards it's so mediocre. I completely rebuilt the imitation of the wooden boards on the deck, sides and wheelhouse. I also made the mast myself from brass tubes. In general, I had to "saw" a lot 🙂

Michael KohlThe brass work is easy to distinguish, the work at the plastic less so. Hence my question. Looks like you turn this into a jewel.

Snake PlisskenFine work. Any updates? The Lindberg kit represents a reasonable attempt at a Diesel Engine Sales Company, or DESCO Marine all wooden Gulf Coast shrimper. The boats of the type that operated almost exclusively along the gulf coast and southern states of USA. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars as it has a lot of fine details for the era but a lot of them are fairly crude (the trawl winch for example needs work) at the same time. I think the kit depicts a 54 foot boat.
