Hello everyone! I purchased this kit at a convention in 2018, and i discovered it is quite different from the usual plastic issue. The hull is pre-formed and one piece, with cross braces installed for under the deck. The deck(s) are METAL sheet with painted planking (wow!), the formed sails are vac-formed in a slightly thicker plastic then used in later kits, and the kit came with a small box containing figures{captain & some crew}-fittings include brass chain, cloth flags, 3 types of very good rigging line and a needle threader! Also 2 very fine drill bits mounted in dowels, for the needed holes to be drilled. three color plastic parts [white hull, brown mast/spars, black backstay channels & not nearly enough blocks] The plans are very large sheets, easy to read with very good diagrams, as well as procedure examples for "how to" assembly and suggested items for extra details. Also a good display base.
