From my conversation with the manufacturer:

"On the printing base plates of each tank part I see imprinted arrows. What’s the meaning of those?"

"I believe i put those there sort of has a visual flag for builders to beware of the detail jutting out that should not be sawed off or cut away. There are little protruding vanes that stick out that ideally should be kept integral to the halves. When front and back are glued together...those protruding parts sort of collectively help center the tank into the open end of the kit wing."
