7,5cm GeK. M15 auf Sfl. 38(t)
Field Conversation

On the Internet I found some files to print a 7,5 cm leichte Gebirgskanone M.15 witch I liked instant. Uncomfortably I have "only" a FDM Printer. So I decided to create a conversation to a Gun Carrier.
I took my very old Panzer 38(t), witch I build as child, and used it as base for this project. Other needed parts are designed by myself and printed by FDM Printer, from my part box or are scratch-build.

The 7.5cm M15 mountain gun was the standard light mountain gun of the Austrian Army during World War I. It could be disassembled into seven partial loads for transport on mules and were build by Skoda in Brno. It was very modern for its time and was also used in the interwar period by Hungary and Italy, among others. Since Austria became part of the German Reich in 1936, there were stocks of it in the Wehrmacht.

Since it could be easily disassembled, I thought that it would be perfect for conversion into an assault tank like the Bison I. My choice for the chassis fell on the Panzer 38(t). I thought there was a special charm to putting a Skoda gun on a Skoda tank. Moreover, the Panzer 38(t) hopelessly outgunned by 1940 at the latest. The chassis, however, was truly usable, proven, and widely used.


Die 7,5cm Gebirgskanone M15 war das leichte standard Gebirgsgeschütz der österreichischen Armee während des ersten Weltkrieges. Es ließ sich, für den Transport auf Maultieren, in 7 Teillasten zerlegen und wurde von Skoda in Brünn gebaut. Es war sehr modern für seine Zeit und wurde auch in der Zwischenkriegszeit unter anderem von Ungarn und Italien eingesetzt. Da Österreich 1936 ein Teil des Deutschen Reiches wurde gab es Bestände davon in der Wehrmacht.

Da es einfach zerlegt werden konnte würde dachte ich es eignet sich perfekt für einen Umbau in einen Sturmpanzer wie den Bison I. Meine Wahl für das Fahrgestell fiel auf den Panzer 38(t). Ich dachte es hätte einen besonderen Charm ein Skoda Geschütz auf einen Skoda Panzer zu setzen. Außerdem war der Panzer 38(t) spätesten 1940 hoffnungslos unterbewaffnet. Das Fahrgestell aber wirklich brauchbar, bewährt und weit verbreitet.
