Personal Interest: The SR-71 was one of my favorite aircraft as a child. Stories of its performance were exciting to me. Being able to see it in person at airshows held at Offutt AFB in my home state of Nebraska only strengthened my resolve to serve in the US Air Force.

Model Specifications: This model represents SR-71A 61-7955, the test bed aircraft flown at Edwards AFB. The aircraft was all black with a Lockeed Skunk Works logo on the tail fins.
