Date: 1979-1981
Personal Interest: The T-38 trainer was commonly used as a chase plane during the 1970s and early 1980s. For safety reasons, test aircraft are not allowed to fly without a chase plane in the air. As such, the T-38 was photographed alongside many of my favorite aircraft and spacecraft. I also remember being impressed by the agility, speed, and sleek lines of the T-38 when I watched them fly with the USAF Thunderbirds at airshows from 1974 to 1982.
Model Specifications: This model represents a chase plane painted in a two-tone aggressor gray camouflage pattern. This paint scheme was rather unique, as this T-38 was primarily used as a chase plane.
