Personal interest:
This model represents the Space Shuttle Columbia orbiter. I selected Columbia because it was the orbiter I supported most frequently during my tour of duty. Most memorable for me was supporting STS-90 (1998) from the Transatlantic Abort Landing site at Ben Guerir Air Base in Morocco. This Neurolab mission marked the last flight of the European Space Agency's Spacelab laboratory module, which had first flown on Columbia on STS-9. This mission was also the last daytime landing for Columbia, which I witnessed at Kennedy Space Center after arriving back from my trip to Morocco.
