KV-122 from Bronco
The model out of the box is nothing, even the KV-85 is not easy to build, not to mention what Bronko wrote on this one.
To bring the model to resemble the KV-122, it was necessary
- Replace the turret with a resin one from the miniarm
- Replace the mask with a narrow one (I took it from the early tower for the IS-2 from Aresin)
- redesigned the cheeks of the tower for a narrow mask, the left one can be said to have been re-formed from 2k putty
- I made the injection molding number that was on this particular machine.
- molded reinforcements around the machine gun point on the rear wall of the turret
- new seams on the tower and updated the casting texture
- accordingly, I made new handrails – in some places they go crookedly, but this is also the case on the prototype.
- I removed the imitation of welding on the roof of the MTO on the hull and made the joints of the sheets, at the same time I restored the traces of the gas cutter on the upper ends of the sides in the stern and new handrails
- to the best of my strength and capabilities I welded around the welded machine gun point in the frontal sheet of the hull
- redesigned the hub caps of the driving rollers – judging by the prototype photos, they were from early KV
- added the reservation of the antenna output to the VLD
In terms of coloring, I decided to do without marbling.
I blew everything into the 4BO base from the Hansa. After that, he began to highlight the various shades of the base.
Then I started chipping, dirt, and other weathering.
