😄 Lotuswhite, I guess 🙂 Will do the changes on the body to replicate the Beetle? I did that with my 1500cc, called "ED" -> 1968 VW Beetle - my Beetle "ED" | Project by christian-w (1:24) If you want.

mine was pretty a standard 1500
Australian built, so slightly different specs to German built.
It was white with red vinyl trim. Loved that car... until I smashed it and wrote it off

Nooooo! Pure Beetle :/ I got to know one, that was involved in a crash but survived. It was t-boned at the front axle from the right. All we did (my brother and I), was to change the right front fender, the bumper, a tie rod and made a track measurement. The Beetle went on the road again, the Golf 3 (or 4 - don't remember right) went on the junkyard. That was some kind of funny *giggle* A couple years later, I bought the Beetle and drove it 4-6 years. It's name was "Andrea". The name was from the owner and driver. We named it "Andreas Beetle" as long it was in our clientele and did not belong to us. My brother and I ran a business for Aircooled VW that time. We took it, when Andrea bought a Convertible that we restored for her. Like ED, Andrea was a 1500 with semi automatic. Built in 1970. Maybe I built Andrea some day.
Btw: I've owned a Lotus white 1968 Beetle too. Also with red interior. I like this combination. Sold it to my neighbor.
