Me-262A 2a/U2 Bomber Version known as Sturmvogel (Strombird)
Built on the Me-262 fighter version with an enlarged, partly-glazed nose section to accommodate a prone bomber-aimer and standard Lotfe 7D level-bombing sight. Only 1 or 2 prototypes were built depending on the reference you read.

The MPM kit fit wasn't too bad, as you can see some minor adjustments were made on the underside. In addition, added weight was required to ensure it sat on the tricycle undercarriage. The pic shows that there was insufficient space for the weight, but I good with it showing.

The one major problem, although solved, was the vac-u-formed front nose canopy parts, which were flimsy. Even after several coats of Future floor polish, they weren't hard. After making masks and painting, removing the masks removed all the framing! Solution, cut 1mm tape in half and use that .05 mm tape as frame painted to match the airframe. I like the way it turned out.

Feedback is welcome.
