615 Sqn was equipped with Thunderbolts in June 1945 (135 Sqn was renamed 615 Sqn on 10 June 1945) based at Orissa, Eastern India. They began training for the proposed landings in Malaya. Air support was not required. The Sqn was disbanded on 25 Sep 1945 at Andhra Pradesh in South Eastern India.
